In the first meeting, it was the Knicks who were not at full strength;

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Without Kidd in the lineup, the Knicks
offense struggled; the ball movement was stagnant and the offense was over

crisper and everyone is on top of their game.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

see a drastic change without Lopez in the lineup, as the Nets are allowing
teams to shoot 50.7 percent from the field without him compared to 44.9 with
him. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Blatche has filled in admirably for

productivity of the Nets bench players has suffered as well. Jerry Stackhouse has been shooting 30.4

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks bench has been coming alive
of late, with Steve Novak finding his touch and Rasheed Wallace giving strong

struggled with his shot recently, but the effort he gives on defense and how he
fills other stats still helps the Knicks.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Jets vs. Jaguars Post Game Recap 12/9<br />
<br />
The New York Jets were able to pickup their second straight win over a bad team by beating the Jacksonville Jaguars 17-10. The win moves the Jets to (6-7), and with the Steelers and Bengals losing the Jets playoff hopes are still alive.<br />
<br />
All the talk heading into this weeks game was about the Jets quarterback situation, and the decision of Rex Ryan to stick with Mark Sanchez who was benched the week before for Greg McElroy. Sanchez wasn’t asked to do a whole lot in this game, as he was only 12 for 19 with 111 yards passing. Sanchez didn’t throw any interceptions against the bad Jaguars defense, but did lose a fumble in Jacksonville territory.<br />
<br />
Tim Tebow was in uniform in the state where he became a legend, but despite talk that he may get some playing time in Jacksonville to win the crowd over many who were there just to see Tebow he didn’t get to play a single snap. Notably last weeks hero Greg McElroy who some thought may get a chance to start was instead holding a clipboard and inactive.<br />
<br />
The key the Jets scoring on offense was the great play of their offensive line and running backs, as the ground and pound attack was in full force against the Jaguars. The Jets ran the ball 42 times for 166 yards, as Shonn Greene had 20 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown, and Bilal Powell also ran it well getting 78 yards on 19 carries with a touchdown as well.<br />
<br />
The lack of weapons for Sanchez was quite apparent, as their was no Santonio Holmes who is out for the season, Dustin Keller didn’t play, and Stephen Hill hurt his knee in the game slipping on the wet grass which didn’t look good for the rookie.<br />
<br />
For the second straight week the Jets defense did what should be expected against a poor offense which allowed Sanchez to just manage the game, and hand the ball off to his running backs. The Jets were able to hold the Jaguars offense which is maybe more banged up than the Jets offense to 291 yards. The biggest play from the Jets defense came while Jacksonville was threatening in the redzone, but a delayed blitz by Garrett McIntyre hit Chad Henne’s arm leading to an interception by Bart Scott. The Jets were able to bother Henne all game sacking him three times, as Mo Wilkerson, David Harris, and Quinton Coples all got to Henne. The third down defense was also great for the second straight week holding the Jaguars to only two conversions on 16 attempts.<br />
<br />
The Jets will look to reach the .500 mark and redeem themselves on national television on Monday night against Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans.<br />

Nets vs. Bucks Post Game Recap 12/9<br />
<br />
The Brooklyn Nets woes continued on Sunday at the Barclays Center losing to the Milwaukee Bucks 97-88, as the Nets are now on a four game losing streak, and have lost four out of five games without Brook Lopez.<br />
<br />
The Nets star backcourt of Deron Williams and Joe Johnson were outplayed by their counterparts on the Bucks in Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis who combined for 50 points to just the 24 that Williams and Johnson were able to score.<br />
<br />
The best player for the Nets in the starting lineup was by far Gerald Wallace who had a monster double-double scoring 16 points on six for 12 shooting to go along with a season-high 16 rebounds.<br />
<br />
The starting lineup saw a shakeup at the power forward position from Avery Johnson, as Kris Humphries was moved to the bench, and Reggie Evans moved into the starting five. The move didn’t make much of a difference for the Nets however, as Humphries had four points and seven rebounds, and Evans had five points with nine rebounds, and four steals.<br />
<br />
MarShon Brooks was finally given some minutes in this game, and was one of the main reasons for the Nets comeback attempt after being down by 29 points Brooks led the Nets off the bench scoring 14 points on four for five shooting, and was perfect at the free throw line going five for five.<br />
<br />
The Nets will have a tough task on Tuesday trying to snap their losing streak at home against the New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony in the second round of the East River Rivalry.<br />

Well it’s that
time of year again; where the New York Giants have their backs against
the wall, the division is close and every game is a must win.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="_kso fsm direction_ltr" data-jsid="message">
Today
is the start for that playoff push, with wins by Dallas (7-6) and by a
red hot Washington (7-6), the lead was cut down to a game. After last
week’s loss to the Redskins, the Giants had to come out and win.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="_kso fsm direction_ltr" data-jsid="message">
Before
the game a lot of the players were looking up to that scoreboard to see
those wins and realized they<br />
needed to step it up. Today’s game would
be a familiar foe in the New Orleans Saints, who in recent years the
Giants have not fared well against. But, most of those game were in the
Superdome, now they would have to come to a cold, rainy night in New
Jersey along with the swirling winds of MetLife Stadium.<br />
<br />
Even
though the Saints have a losing record they are no pushovers,
especially with Drew Brees and a high powered offense that ranks the
highest in the NFL; this would truly be a test for the Giants. <br />
<br />
The
game started off with the Giants down early due to an Eli Manning
interception ran back for a touchdown. This lead however would not last,
as the ensuing kickoff would have to go into the hands of the
electrifying sparkplug out of Virginia Tech David Wilson.<br />
<br />
Wilson
would catch the ball up at the three yard line and from there saw his
blockers, going up the middle then taking it up the sideline for a
momentum swinging 97-yard touchdown. Wilson would not be done there, as
he would go on and put up an astonishing 227 return yards, which put the
Giants in great field position all day.<br />
<br />
It wouldn’t end
there, as Wilson also had 13 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Wilson is getting more opportunities due to the loss of Andre Brown two
weeks ago and he made the most of it. Wilson amassed 327 total yards setting a franchise record (previously held by Dominik Hixon with 303 yards)<br />
<br />
Outside of Wilson’s
outstanding performance, the Giants Eli Manning didn’t have his best
game, having a shaky first half, but made the most of the opportunities
given to him. The wide receivers Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Domenik
Hixon with a little dose of tight end Martellus Bennett found holes in
the Saints secondary, accounting for another four touchdowns for the
Giants. <br />
<br />
This game wasn’t just won by special teams and
offense, but with the Giants defense stepping up and holding the Saints
offense to only two total touchdowns and forcing four turnovers.<br />
<br />
Those
four turnovers go to my spotlight players of the game (at least
Defensively), the safety tandem of Antrel Rolle and Stevie Brown.<br />
<br />
Both
Brown and Rolle forced two big fumbles early in the game. They would
also be a big reason why the Saints didn’t have too many big plays, by
keeping their zones in check and when they were tested they stepped up;
especially Brown who’d pick off Brees twice (one off a tipped pass by
Rolle). Stevie Brown continues to be the guy on that defense who always
makes plays when they need it and he made three big ones today. It’s not
every day your able to hold the NFL’s best offense to two touchdowns
and those guys were the reason.<br />
<br />
All in all, the Giants came
out and did what they were supposed to do and that was win. But, the
Giants do not have room to breathe; they still have the Cowboys and
Redskins creeping up on them. <br />
<br />
Next week they travel to the
Georgia Dome to take on the top ranked team in the NFC; the Atlanta
Falcons. This will be a rematch of last year’s wildcard game; a game
Atlanta has had marked on their calendar, so the Giants better be ready,
as every game is a must win with the playoffs on the line.</div>

Sunday night, playing with tenacity and energy knowing the Knicks really needed
him with Wallace and Camby both sitting out; he responded with another

out night, but it should not have been this close. The combination of poor defense (the Nuggets
shot 55.6 percent from the field) and poor shooting (43.0 percent from the
field for the Knicks) goes together like oil and vinegar. Nonetheless, the Knicks scored when they
needed to and got the stops that were necessary in picking up the victory
tonight.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Jason Kidd was amazing for the Knicks
tonight, showing that age is just a number once again. As Alan Hahn has said plenty of times, Kidd’s
body is 39 years old but his hands are still 24. Kidd was instrumental in the Knicks coming
back tonight and holding onto the lead.
He made timely baskets and led the Knicks with seven assists. The Knicks look much better on the court when
Kidd plays.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">This opinion of mine has a chance to be
proven correct soon, as next up for the Knicks is round two in the Battle of
the Boroughs as the Knicks head to Brooklyn to take on the Nets Tuesday night
and will look to exact some revenge from the loss earlier in the season the Nets
handed them. Kidd sat out the first
meeting this season and I firmly believe that if Kidd had played the Knicks
would have come away with the victory.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">After winning in Charlotte Wednesday and
Miami Thursday, the Knicks look to finish their road trip strong and undefeated
with a victory over the Bulls tonight. Tonight
will be another tough task for the Knicks, as the Bulls have played well in
winning four of their last five games and are sitting atop the Central
Division. Here are some things to watch
for in the game tonight:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">After sitting out Thursday night’s win

and will be a game time decision with the laceration to the middle finger on
his left hand. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks proved that they can play
without Anthony if players like Raymond Felton, J.R. Smith and Steve Novak step

may be a different story though, as the Bulls are much stronger on the
defensive end than the Heat, having the top-ranked defensive efficiency in the
NBA compared to 23rd for the Heat.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

of them, putting up career numbers across the board with 10.8 rebounds, 13.9

tonight though, especially is Anthony doesn’t suit up, as the Bulls employ a
much bigger team than the Heat did.
Rasheed Wallace will need to use his veteran savvy and stay closer to
the basket and not gravitate towards the three point line. Look for Kurt Thomas to again start if
Anthony is out and get some minutes against a team whose main focus is defense
and rebounding.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Nets vs. Warriors Post Game Recap 12/7<br />
<br />
Final Score: Warriors 109 Nets 102<br />
<br />
For the second time this season the Brooklyn Nets were unable to beat the Golden State Warriors, as the Nets couldn’t get revenge on the Warriors at home after losing to them on the West Coast earlier in the season.<br />
<br />
Like on the West Coast Stephen Curry killed the Nets outplaying Deron Williams by scoring 28 points on 10 for 19 shooting, as in two games Curry has scored 53 points against the Nets, as Brooklyn will be happy to not have to play him again this season.<br />
<br />
Deron Williams followed up his season-high 33 point game against the Thunder by filling out a pretty nice stat sheet scoring 23 points on eight for 22 shooting with eight assists, and five rebounds. The problem for Williams like most of the season was his shot, as Williams was only two for 10 from three-point land.<br />
<br />
Joe Johnson had his best game of the season in the loss on Friday, as Johnson had a season-high 32 points on 12 for 23 shooting to go along with five rebounds, but despite the great game from Johnson it wasn’t enough to get the win.<br />
<br />
Ex-Knick David Lee had a monster game posting a monster double-double with 30 points on 14 for 22 shooting, and grabbed 15 rebounds, as the former double-double machine for the Knicks usually plays well in New York.<br />
<br />
The Nets also got a monster double-double from one of their big men, as Andray Blatche continued his great play filling in for Lopez with 22 points on eight for 13 shooting with 15 rebounds.<br />
<br />
With Blatche in the starting lineup the bench scored suffered on Friday, as the Nets bench was outscored by Jarrett Jack alone who torched the Nets for 15 points on seven for 12 shooting. Jack Lead the Warriors bench which outscored the Nets bench 32 to 13.<br />
<br />
The Nets will look to snap their losing streak on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks, and their star backcourt of Brandon Jennings, and Monta Ellis.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">After a thrilling victory Wednesday
night in Charlotte, the Knicks are right back at it with the second game of a
back-to-back in Miami against Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh and the
Heat. The Heat, like the Knicks, are
undefeated at home this season making for a great matchup between two of the
top teams currently in the NBA.
Hopefully the matchup everyone wants to see in Carmelo Anthony vs.
Lebron James comes to fruition. Here are
some things to watch for tonight:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">-Injuries Galore<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks come into the game with the
biggest question mark of all; will Carmelo Anthony suit up? Anthony suffered a
laceration on his left middle finger Wednesday night diving into the bench and received
six stitches on the wound. If Anthony is
unable to go the Knicks better bring their A game on defense because points
will be hard to come by without their leading man.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Heat are not without injuries, as
their lineup will have drastic changes if Mario Chalmers (torn finger tendon)
and Norris Cole (strained groin) both do not suit up. Lebron James will most likely handle point
guard duties full time if neither guard can suit up, as both are game time
decisions.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Heat may also be without Udonis
Haslem (hip pointer), leaving an already lacking Heat team dangerously thin up
front.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Depending on which players actually make
it to game time able to play, the schemes and game plans could change
drastically. Whichever coach can adjust
and adapt to the conditions best will put their team in the better position to
come out on top.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">-Make the Most of Advantages<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks best lineups thus far this
season have been their small-ball lineups in which they employ more players on the
court to stretch the floor. The Heat
generally play smaller, but with the injuries to their point guards they could
get even smaller upfront if James has to run the offense himself. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">As the Knicks have succeeded with the
smaller lineups, it may be beneficial tonight to go big at some point. Tyson Chandler has been dominating in recent
games and should continue his hot streak tonight as he will be matched up with
Chris Bosh most of the night. Rasheed
Wallace should find his way to the paint more often as well and resist from
floating out to the three point line. The
Heat do not have the size to contend with both Chandler and Wallace if they are
on the court together.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">-Pick and Roll Game<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">If Anthony is unable to suit up, the
pick-and-roll game becomes that much more important for the Knicks. Raymond Felton has been playing masterfully
since his debacle against the Nets, not turning the ball over in two consecutive
games since his time with the Bobcats. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Felton and Chandler have been on fire
recently, running the pick-and-roll to perfection. Felton remains under control, knocking down
jumpers or taking it to the rim himself or throwing lobs to Chandler, who
always finishes, evident of his 72.1 percent shooting on the season.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The pick-and-roll game is also run well
by Pablo Prigioni, who is adapting well to the NBA game after playing overseas
his whole career previously. Prigioni works
it will with Wallace and Chris Copeland, who we could see a lot of on the court
tonight if Anthony doesn’t suit up and with Marcus Camby dealing with plantar fasciitis.
<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Tonight is a nationally televised game
so you know the Heat and their fans will come into the game fired up and ready
to go; it is imperative the Knicks match that intensity and fire right from the
start.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Heat have undoubtedly had this game
circled on their calendars since the Knicks gave them a whooping on opening
night at the Garden. They will come out
ready to play and with revenge on their minds to show the world that they are
still the beasts of the east and what happened opening night was a fluke.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Anthony would be huge, as he has
exploded in the starts of games, but if he is unable to go someone will need to
pick up the slack. I would look for J.R.
Smith to pick up the slack if Anthony sits.
He has struggled with his shot recently, even with knocking down the
game winner Wednesday night, but has a never back down mentality and always
gives his all. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Tonight will be a great game for
basketball fans even with no team affiliation in the game. The Knicks and Heat both have something to
prove tonight and will put on a show for the audience. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
The Brooklyn Nets great start to their season has seen some early recognition from the NBA in the form of the Nets head coach Avery Johnson winning the Eastern Conference Coach of the month award for November.<br />
<br />
Avery Johnson has led the Brooklyn Nets to an 11-4 record in November that is the best start in November for the Nets in franchise history. Johnson has gotten the Nets to become one of the better defensive teams in the league, which goes a long way to why they have 11 wins, and are the second best team in the league in points allowed only giving up 90.4 per game.<br />
<br />
“I've used (zone defense) in the past as a tool, and maybe sometime in the future we may use it," Johnson said. "We like our full-court press a lot more when we go to that instead of our zone half-court defense. Everything's always on the table, but we take pride in being a good man-to-man defensive team.”<br />
<br />
The Nets record is quite impressive considering their start backcourt in Deron Williams and Joe Johnson have yet to find their shots consistently, and when they do the Nets maybe a real force in the Eastern Conference.<br />
<br />
“Coach Johnson has been a great leader and motivator," Joe Johnson said. "Every day he comes in here with a great attitude and he definitely keeps us on our toes. He's a great 'players' coach' that you can go to anytime and sit down and talk to and he gives great advice.”<br />
<br />
There is still a long ways to go in the season, as even though the Nets are playing well right now coach Johnson and his team all have much bigger expectations than just one good month of basketball.<br />

the game:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks will be getting a boost
tonight, as Raymond Felton is expected to play even after bruising his hand
Sunday afternoon and Jason Kidd is expected to return after missing the last
four games with back spasms. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Felton will wear added padding on his
left hand to protect his thumb and wrist; it might affect his ability to catch
the ball a little he said but his catch-and-shoot ability should not be
affected. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Kidd will be taking the court for the
first time in 10 days and how he responds will be something to look at. How good will his conditioning be and how
many minutes can he give the Knicks tonight?
They have an important game against the heat Thursday night in which
they will need Kidd more than against the Bobcats.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Point guard play as been a driving force
behind the Knicks strong 12-4 start, as the Knicks turn the ball over the least
in the NBA. Having capable point guards
on the court at all times is very beneficial, as the Knicks have struggled at
times with Kidd off the court.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks have to avoid a letdown
against what is assumed to be an inferior opponent. The Knicks have a huge game against the Heat
Thursday night but they cannot look past their opponent tonight.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks have plenty of reason to get
up for this game, as they watched the Heat lose to the worst team in the NBA,
the Washington Wizards, Wednesday night.
<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks have lost three of their last
four road games but if they put forth the necessary effort they should get back
on track tonight. The Knicks rank first
in offensive efficiency and 10th in defensive efficiency compared to
27th and 22nd for the Bobcats respectively. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The rebounding rates are also similar
between the teams, so this is a night the Knicks should look to take advantage
of, getting ahead early and resting their main pieces for the showdown with the
Heat Thursday.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Brooklyn Nets vs Oklahoma City Thunder Post Game Recap 12/4<br />
<br />
<br />
The Brooklyn Nets fell to 11-6 as they lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 117-111 in Brooklyn. The Nets were once again without Brook Lopez with a strained right foot for the 3rd straight game, as well as Reggie Evans who was suffering from the flu. <br />
<br />
The Nets played awful defense in the first half, allowing the Thunder to shoot 65% from the field and trailed 61-48 at the half. They were unable to keep the Thunder out of the paint, as Westbrook who finished with 25 points and Durant who finished with 32 points got to the line a combined 20 times. Deron Williams struggled with keeping Westbrook infront of him all night, and the help defense which came late most of the time led to a wide open Sefolosha. On offense, the Nets primarily stayed out of the paint, shooting 34 three pointers. The Nets hit 14 of them, most coming in the 3rd quarter where the Nets made their run to cut the defecit to 2. With Evans out, rebounding the ball would have seemed to be troublesome for the Nets, but all the three pointers they shot led to long rebounds, which the Nets grabbed 16 of, 40 rebounds total. The Thunder only managed to grab 2 offensive rebounds and 33 in total. This odd rebounding effort allowed the Nets to stay in the game and let the game come down to the 4th quarter. Under 2:00 minutes left in the 4th, a close goaltending call on Kris Humphries on a Kevin Durant layup allowed the Thunder to go up 110-106, which sealed the deal. <br />
<br />
<u>BRIGHTSPOTS</u><br />
<u></u><br />
Andray Blatche, who started in place for Lopez, continued to play well. Blatche finished the game with 19 points and 11 rebounds, 8 of which were offensive rebounds. Deron Williams also finally found his shooting touch as all season he had been struggling. Williams hit 5-9 from three point land finishing with 33 points and 7 assists. Along with Williams, Gerald Wallace also found his shooting touch in the 3rd quarter, shooting 4-7 from three point land. Mirza Teletovic, saw a lot of action in this game, and played well. Mirza shot 3-6 from the field for 8 points. Mirza will need to continue to play well due to Broo Lopez's history with injury.<br />
<br />
<u>QUESTIONMARKS</u><br />
<br />
Brooklyn was the 2nd best defense in opponents ppg, but allowing the Thunder to score 117 was just atrocious. The Nets struggled on defense in almost every phase, from the guards not being able to keep the Thunder's perimeter players out of the paint, to our big men not being able to stay with their man. Serge Ibaka went 8-12 from the field and had two highlight dunks. Ibaka either got a wide open jump shot or an easy dunk on the offensive end. <br />
<br />
Joe Johnson continued to struggle shooting the ball as well. When the Nets win easily, it's usually because JJ is on his game, and shooting well but this seems to be a rarity. JJ went 1-7 from 3 point land, and only started to hit jump shots in the 4th. Along with his iffy shooting, he seems scared to attack the basket, and didn't shoot one free throw. Infact, outside of Deron who shot 10 free throws, the Nets shot a combined 13 free throws. <br />
<br />
It was also questionable rotation decisions by Avery Johnson in the 4th quarter that led to this loss. Blatche who played well, sat a little more than half the 4th quarter from 8:43 to 2:32. Blatche, who had been playing well all night, was substituted for Kris Humphries. The rationale was that they needed defense on the court, however that is something Humphries and the rest of the Nets didn't do all game. Along with this, Jerry Stackhouse played 30 minutes and finished with 8 points on 2-6 shooting. Stackhouse played down the stretch in the 4th quarter and hardly contributed at all. <br />
<br />
After losing to both the Thunder and Heat, it's clear the Nets are not yet in their tier. They will have to get healthy and make improvements both on offense and defense but it was good to see where they stand against the NBA's elite. <br />
<br />
Up next for the Nets are the 10-7 Warriors, who come to Brooklyn on Friday.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15839097822707140144noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7020628115988469552.post-20408256901384281712012-12-05T15:20:00.002-05:002012-12-05T19:02:04.385-05:00Jets Sticking With Sanchez<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;">The New York Jets and Rex Ryan made the big decision that everyone was waiting for on Wednesday morning and will be sticking with Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback for Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;">The move definitely has to have factored more off the field stuff than on the field performance, as Sanchez was given an extension last off-season and is still owed over $8 million next season. Another reason also has to be that the Jets don’t want to admit they made a mistake trading up to the 5th pick to draft Sanchez and pushed to everyone that he was going to be the franchise quarterback earning him the nickname “The Sanchise.”</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;">The leash heading into Jacksonville has to be short on Sanchez; he has been awful this season only completing 55 percent of his passes and has only 12 touchdown passes to 13 interceptions to go along with seven fumbles. Sanchez has never had any threat in his first three years of being benched for Mark Brunell, so it will be interesting to see how he responds to being benched for Greg McElroy.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;">The luckiest thing for Sanchez, Ryan and the Jets organization is that their next two games are on the road against the Jaguars and Titans, both of whom haven’t played well. If this next game against the Jaguars was at home it would be hard to imagine how many boo’s would be coming from the crowd in MetLife stadium, as Jets fans clearly don’t want Sanchez as their quarterback anymore.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;">The next question for the Jets now is who is their number two quarterback, as McElroy played very well, managing the game for the Jets against the Cardinals in leading them to a one point win and McElroy has to feel a bit snubbed that he isn’t getting a shot to start after the win. Tim Tebow also has to feel snubbed, as it is clear the Jets don’t want him as the quarterback with him being cleared to play last week but not suiting up. The whole Tebow question is a confusing one if he wasn’t brought in to be the backup quarterback, was he really brought in to just sell tickets? It will be interesting to see if Tebow dresses along with McElroy, as the Jets head back to where Tebow became a college legend.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #111111; line-height: 22px; text-align: justify;">Ryan will be sticking with Sanchez in four very winnable games as he has been the biggest Sanchez supporter; Ryan has probably put his job in the hands of Sanchez, as if the Jets stumble in these last four games. If Sanchez continues his poor play the Jets may be looking for a new quarterback and coach next season.</span></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7020628115988469552.post-66460641011766312822012-12-05T13:10:00.000-05:002012-12-05T13:10:23.145-05:00Giants Team Grades: Week 13 vs. Washington Redskins<br />

<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
Obviously the biggest part in the game is the benching of Mark Sanchez, who was god awful in the first two and a half quarters against the Cardinals. Sanchez was on his way to one of the worst performances of his career, as he went 10 for 21 for just 97 yards passing with three interceptions and was unable to help the Jets get any points in his time under center. The chanting for McElroy became louder and louder from the Jets fans; when Ryan benched Sanchez the game turned around for them.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
Greg McElroy, making his first appearance in a regular season NFL game did very well and his experience at Alabama winning a National Title certainly had to help him with his nerves in relieving Sanchez and leading the Jets to the victory. The seventh round pick led the Jets on two very nice drives; one resulting in a touchdown pass to Jeff Cumberland and the second bringing them to the Cardinals goalline where he took a knee to ice it for his first career win.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
Former Jet Kerry Rhodes came to prove a point it would appear against his former team and the coach that called him a selfish player with a Hollywood attitude. Rhodes got two of the interceptions off his former teammate Sanchez and forced a fumble which led to one of the Cardinals two field goals in this game; also by another former Jet, Jay Feely.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
If Jets fans thought their quarterback situation was bad, they must be thankful that they do not root for the Cardinals. As bad as Sanchez has been this season, he looks like Aaron Rodgers compared to Ryan Lindley, who when watching him play quarterback has to keep peoples' dreams alive that you too can be a quarterback in the NFL. Lindley went 10 for 31 with just 72 yards passing, and threw an interception to LaRon Landry. Despite targeting one of the best receivers in the NFL in Larry Fitzgerald seven times, one of the best in the game only had one catch for 23 yards. Overall the defense has to get a lot of credit; they did their job against a bad quarterback and held the Cardinals to zero for 15 on third downs.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">
It was not a pretty win but it does count so the Jets are now 5-7, and have a very slim chance still of making the playoffs, but the real questions will be in the week to come about who will be the starting quarterback heading into Jacksonville and why Tebow scratched despite being cleared to play with his rib injury on Sunday.</div>

<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The Yankees suffered a big blow to their offense and left side of the infield already, as third baseman Alex Rodriguez will be out 4-6 months to recover from yet another hip surgery similar to the one he had in 2009.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">"It's a significant blow," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said. "But we've dealt with significant blows and, hopefully, we'll be able to deal with this one, as well."</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Rodriguez was said to have started complaining about the hip, saying that it just didn’t feel right in the playoffs and if was bothering him; it would definitely explain his awful postseason in which he was benched and pinch-hit for due to going zero for 18 with 12 strikeouts.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The Yankees lineup, which is already looking worse than last year with letting Russell Martin go to the Pirates and figuring to not be bringing Nick Swisher back, will now need to find some sort of replacement at third for at least half the season. The current options under contract already are Eduardo Nunez, who has proven that he can hit in the major leagues, but is awful in the field and can not be trusted. Jayson Nix is also an option, but it seems unlikely that Nix would be the Yankees everyday third baseman.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">If the Yankees decide to spend some money they a have few options in free agency like Eric Chavez, who filled in for Rodriguez last season when he was injured and played extremely well; hitting .281 with 16 homeruns, and 37 RBIs. Other notable names that they wouldn’t have to break the bank for would be Brandon Inge, Palcido Polanco, and Jeff Keppinger.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">This is certainly not how the Yankees wanted to start their off-season already have to fill pieces for an injury, as they don’t want to spend money to stay under $189 million in salary for 2014 and a large chunk of that will be the injury-prone Rodriguez who may really hamper the Yankees until his contract is up.</span></div>

<br />
The Yankees lost a good piece of their team to the Pittsburgh Pirates in catcher Russell Martin who signed with the Pirates for an affordable two-year 17 million dollar deal. The Yankees and Russell Martin were reported to be far apart in negotiations, and Brian Cashman said there was never an offer made to Martin.<br />
<br />
Russell Martin did not have his best year at the plate only hitting .211, but the power was there for Martin, as he was able to hit a career-high 21 homeruns. Martin has been a good defensive catcher for the Yankees, and now he will be reuniting with his friend A.J Burnett in Pittsburgh.<br />
<br />
For the Yankees moving forward now it appears they are going to try to keep things on the cheap, and will probably be moving forward with someone who is already on the team. If the season started today Chris Stewart would be the starting catcher, and Francisco Cervelli would be the back up. From the minors Austin Romine who had an injury-reddened year in triple-A will get a shot in spring training, and if healthy does have some upside.<br />
<br />
The Yankees with letting Martin go are certainly showing that they are going to try to get under that 189 million dollar cap mark, and now will have a major question mark at the catcher position heading into 2013 if nothing is done in free agency or by a trade.<br />

Nets vs. Heat Post Game Recap 12/1<br />
<br />
The Nets were unable to handle the Heat in South Beach without Lopez, as their winning streak has been snapped at five games with the 102-89 loss on Saturday night.<br />
<br />
After a very good first half for the Nets it was the polar opposite in the second half, as with their fifth game in seven days the Nets looked tired and were hammered after halftime being outscored 52-30.<br />
<br />
The Miami Heat’s two superstars LeBron James and Dwayne Wade came to play against the Nets with both of them having great games. Wade was the leading scoring in the game putting up 34 points on 14 for 20 shooting with seven assists. James had one of his classic overall good games scoring 21 points on eight for 15 shooting with nine rebounds and six assists.<br />
<br />
The Nets were led on offense by Andray Blatche getting his second straight start for the injured Lopez, as Blatche had yet another strong game scoring a team-high 20 points on eight for 12 shooting with eight rebounds.<br />
<br />
Deron Williams shooting woes continue to hamper his play, as Williams only scored 11 points on a bad three for 11 shooting, but did notch his seven double-double of the season which leads the team because Williams did a good job setting up teams earning him 12 assists.<br />
<br />
Joe Johnson had yet another poor game against the Heat like earlier in the season, as Johnson who has been playing well didn’t do that on Saturday only scoring 12 points on five for 14 shooting, as in two games against the Heat Johnson is only nine for 28.<br />
<br />
Gerald Wallace had another pretty good on the offensive end despite not shooting the ball from three-point land well only going one for six, Wallace was able to score 13 points on five for 11 shooting with nine rebounds.<br />
<br />
The Nets will have another tough task on Tuesday night, as they will have to play last years Western Conference Champions the Oklahoma City Thunder and their superstar Kevin Durant, with it still being unclear weather or not Brook Lopez will be playing.<br />

The Mets earlier this week agreed to the terms of a contract
extension with star third-baseman and franchise face David Wright. The total
amount of the extension sits at eight years $138 million, which adds seven years $122
million to his current contract. The
contract made Wright the richest Met in their history and will have him signed
through 2020. This is obviously a huge load off Mets fans minds as many wondered
if he would suffer the same fate as Jose Reyes last off-season. They deal fits
in the mold of other star third baseman Evan Longoria, who will get little more
money per year but signed for three years less.</div>

this does not hurt them payroll wise; which is good since the Mets are on a tight budget as it is. As it sits, the Mets don’t have many players signed past

This extension shows to future free agents they are guaranteed to have one

The Yankees were able to resign the best closer of all-time, and a iconic figure in the history of their team in Mariano Rivera for one more season. The deal between the Yankees and Rivera is a one year 10 million dollar contract with incentives that could bring the total salary up to 15 million.<br />
<br />
The 2012 season was not the way that the future hall of famer Rivera wanted to end his career, as he only made nine appearances before he tore his ACL on the warning track in Kansas City catching fly balls.<br />
<br />
"Like I've been saying, I didn't want to go out like that," Rivera said in a statement released by the team. "I didn't want that to be the last image."<br />
<br />
"But it wasn't an easy decision because there's more than just baseball with me," Rivera said. "I have to consider my family and the church, too. But I feel like we have a great group of guys and a team that can compete for a championship. I'm not just coming back to play. I'm coming back to win."<br />
<br />
Rafael Soriano did a great job filling in for Rivera saving 42 of his 46 save oppurtuinties, but with the great season from Soriano he opted out of the final year in his deal to pursue another nice contract.<br />
<br />
The Yankees will hope that Rivera can stay healthy, and be the anchor in the bullpen like he has been for so long to hopefully lead the Yankees to another World Series run in 2013.<br />

Nets vs. Magic Post Game Recap 11/30<br />
<br />
The Nets were able to go down to Florida and keep their winning streak alive making it five straight wins by beating the Magic 98-86, as the Nets finish off a great month of November going 11-4.<br />
<br />
The Nets were led by another stellar game from Joe Johnson who has played much better in four of his last five games. Johnson scored a game-high 22 points on 10 for 16 shooting, and added five assists.<br />
<br />
With Brook Lopez sitting out with his foot injury Gerald Wallace really picked up the scoring slack for the Nets. Wallace caught fire from the field scoring 20 points on seven for nine shooting including five for six from beyond the arc.<br />
<br />
Andray Blatche seemed to slide into the starting rotation at center for Lopez with no problem, as Blatche continued his good play this time with the starting five by scoring 14 points on six for 14 shooting, and also grabbed nine rebounds.<br />
<br />
Deron Williams with his banged up wrist didn’t look for his shot to much in the game only shooting the ball nine times, but did only have to play 30 minutes much less than normal, and hopefully the wrist will heal soon for Deron.<br />
<br />
The bench unit without Blatche didn’t do much scoring, but Reggie Evans once again had a great rebounding game off the bench grabbing 10 rebounds making it his fifth straight game with double-digit rebounds.<br />
<br />
The Nets will be in for a big test on Saturday against the defending world champion Miami Heat team, as the Nets will be without Brook Lopez and their winning streak maybe in serious jeopardy.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Wednesday night the Knicks had an
impressive victory over the Central Division leading Bucks even without veteran
guard Jason Kidd. Kidd will again be
sitting out Friday night because of back spasms, meaning the Knicks will go
with the same starting lineup in Raymond Felton, Ronnie Brewer, Carmelo
Anthony, Kurt Thomas and Tyson Chandler.
Here are some things to keep an eye on for the game tonight:<br />
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--><br />
<!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">-Avoid a Letdown<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Wizards come into tonight’s game
sporting the worst record in the NBA at 1-12 and 0-6 on the road. The Knicks need to avoid complacency against
them, coming out strong and setting the tone from the opening tip.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">One way for this to happen is Anthony
continuing his hot start in the first quarter.
Anthony leads the NBA in first quarter scoring around 11 points per and he
usually dominates the Wizards, scoring 27.1 points per game against them in his
career, his third highest mark against any team. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Anthony is in the midst of one of the
hottest stretches of his career and definitely hottest since coming to New York
and it should continue against the Wizards; they are an average team at best
when they have their best player in John Wall, but with him sidelined the
Wizards are one of the worst teams in the NBA.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">-Battle on the Boards<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Wizards are not a good team, but one
thing they do well is rebound. They are
10th in the NBA at rebounding with 43.2 per game led by Emeka Okafor
with 6.1 per game. The return of Nene
gives the Wizards another big body capable of grabbing rebounds as well.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">It will come down to Tyson Chandler
battling those big bodies once again with Anthony hopefully chipping in
again. Chandler and Anthony have been
battling on the boards the last two games, giving the Knicks their two best
rebounding games of the season.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">They should have some more help tonight,
as head coach Mike Woodson has hinted at the possibility of seeing Rasheed
Wallace and Marcus Camby on the court together, giving the Knicks two big men
on the court more than capable of rebounding. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">-Bench Play<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Knicks are far superior to the
Wizards on the bench and they will have to make that known when given the
chance. Giving the starters some rest
will only be possible if the second unit plays well; if they come out like they
did Wednesday in Milwaukee that will be no problem.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Pablo Prigioni had his best game as a
Knick Wednesday, leading the second unit with Kidd being hurt and doing it
masterfully. He had a career high 28
minutes played and put them to good use, tying a career high 11 points and
handing out a career high seven assists.
If asked, there is no doubt Prigioni would be able to run this offense
smoothly.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Steve Novak also lit up Milwaukee, playing
his best game of the season. He set
career and season highs across the board, playing a career high 40 minutes
while posting season highs in points, rebounds, steals and three pointers made.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">J.R. Smith and Wallace struggled scoring
the ball for the second consecutive game but were picked up by Prigioni and
Wallace. It is good to see the Knicks have
different players pick up the slack every night, as when they all get on the same
page opposing teams will have a lot to deal with. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Keep in mind the Knicks are still
without two important players in Amar’e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert; their
return will only make an already deep team that much more difficult for teams
to handle.</span></div>
